Melanie and I took off to the keys to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I can not believe that it has already been 10 years
since we got married. I guess time flies when your having babies. We went just a bit south of Little Torch Key and took
the ferry boat over to the Little Palm Island. You talk about Paradise. That is exactly where it is. It is the ultimate place to
relax. Cell phones are forbidden and there is only one television on the whole island and even that one is hidden. We
lounged around the beaches, swam in the pool, ate awesome food and just vegged. There were these awesome little
key deer that would swim over from their habitat and wander around the island. They were tame enough to pet. We will
definitely come back to visit this amazing spot again and you can bet it will be well before our 20th anniversary.
Alaila is growing so quickly. They all are. She will be in kindergarten soon. Although I want time I have to admit that I am
super excited to see what God will make of Alaila. She was to go as slowly as possible and for Alaila's childhood to
stretch out as long as possible, 'JOY' from the time she popped out. Her Mimi V saw her first smile at 1 day old. She has
I have to admit that I am super excited to see what God will make of Alaila. She was 'JOY' from the time she popped out.
Her Mimi V saw her first smile at 1 day old. She has been smiling and a bundle of joy ever since. Alaila loves to party
and we partied a lot to celebrate her birthday. Melanie and I are constantly in awe when we look at our girls and see
ourselves in them. It is amazing how God orchestrates their creation through us. Melanie and I pray that we can be the
best stewards possible of the wonderful gifts he's given us in our girls. So many of us adults keep trying to relieve the
past and fight to stay young. Our children 'need' us to grow up and be the wiser ones. It seems the modern 'older and
wiser' was true back then. The current trend is for people to get dumber as they get older. Let's choose to go back to
when 'older and wiser' was true.

There is nothing that Alaila likes to do more than to dress up and dance around singing. There is a place in the
Seminole Towne Center that seems to be made just for Alaila called Libby Lu's. She invited several of her girlfriends
and they spent the afternoon at Libby Lu's getting their hair done, their fingernails painted, dressing up, singing and
dancing. Although Alaila loves getting down and dirty with horses and riding 4 wheelers and hiking through the property,
she is all girl and want all the accessories that make her so. It will be so awesome to watch Alaila and her sister grow
and discover their talents. Who knows what they will become, only God.
I may be a Florida native (kind of), but I am one heat intolerant dude. I have an ultra low heat threshold. Like around 92
degrees. But Melanie, being a Michigan native, seems to soak up all the heat and remain unaffected. She doesn't mind
it one bit. Me, I am finding any reason I can to take trips North or at least spend weekends around the water. Blizzard
Beach is our favorite of all the local water parks and we go as much as we can. It's seems to be getting really hot earlier
than normal this year, so I am bracing for one blazing summer.
