It's been an extremely quiet week because the girls are up in Michigan visiting family. I had to stay at home because we
are in the middle of Spring enrollment at Full Sail. I've had a good time hanging with the boys, playing poker, watching
action movies, playing loud guitars and doing 'guy' things since the girls were out of town but I have to admit that after the
first night I would have eagerly traded the additional freedom for the chaos of getting the girls ready for bed, Mel's 'to-do'
list and being awakened by my 4 year old at the crack of dawn. I missed them too much. I would be a miserable
bachelor. I tell all my single friends that I wouldn't trade places with them in a million years. I love the companionship of
family, even if it means I am not able to watch vampire movies every night. I have been out at the property as often as
possible too trying to clear as best I can with a single chain saw. It's amazing how vividly I can see what this land can
become.

While the girls were gone, I went with my friend Cory to see what is now one of my top 5 favorite movies ever, 300. It's a
total guy movie I warn you. I have heard that there are actually some women who liked it, but I haven't met any of them
yet. It's very graphic but it's Frank Miller so I expected that. It the kind of movie that brings the geek out in you. Not
intentionally, it's just that you leave the theater with the 'boys' and your pumped saying things like, 'Yeah' (kind of growling
it actually), 'Man that was awesome', 'That Rocked'! Then you catch your reflection in the movie poster display as your
leaving the theatre. Your reflection is imposed on top of the movie poster to the right. And you realize what a geek you
really are. That didn't stop me from being inspired enough to muscle out 20 sit ups when I got home. There's got to be a
Leonidas in there somewhere.

The girls are back! Melanie's mom Vicki stayed for a few days and left just yesterday. We love having her here and hate it
when she has to leave. We went over to Celebration to hang with my mom and dad last evening and had a great time
except for one little episode. We had dinner then walked downtown for some ice cream. Afterward we walked around
the waterfront. Amarige was on my shoulders and I was jogging around giving her a good ride. She was giggling and
then all of a sudden I heard a quick heaving sound then felt a warm sensation sliding down my head neck and arm.
Melanie helped her off my shoulders because I was frozen. Amarige had totally puked her Chocolate-Penut Butter ice
cream and Mac and Cheese all over me. She wasn't sick, just over stuffed and joggled around. While Melanie took care
of Amarige, my mom and dad were trying to round up napkins to wipe us off but I wasn't about to stand still dripping with
puke as passers by pointed and grimaced. I hoofed the few blocks home and hosed off. Amarige thought it was funny
later that she puked on Daddy. We actually all think it's funny now, but I won't be eating chocolate for a while.

Tonight was the Daddy Daughter Dance at Northland and this is the 5th year that Aviles and I have gone. This is the 1st
year for Amarige and the 3rd for Alaila. What an awesome time it is. This years theme is Moonlight Serenade. The girls
are on the dance floor from the second we get there until they are telling us to leave. They all love a party. When the
dance is over, we have made a tradition out of going to Steak and Shake afterward. I never imagined being the father of 3
girls would be such an awesome thing. At the end of the night right before the dance is over, they play a slide show of
dad's and their daughters to the song Butterfly Kisses. I can't help it. I ball like a baby every time. I don't think I will make
it through any of their wedding. It will kill me.
